Welcome to Jobs Online (the “Platform”). This document comprises the terms and conditions that you agree to when using our website. By using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Failure to comply with these terms may result in the termination of your account and prompt legal action if deemed necessary.

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • Platform: Refers to the website and services provided by Jobs Online.
  • User: Refers to individuals who access and use the Platform, including job seekers, employers, and recruiters.
  • Employer: Refers to individuals or entities posting job advertisements on the Platform.
  • Job Seeker: Refers to individuals using the Platform to seek employment opportunities.
  • Content: Refers to any materials, including job listings, CVs, personal information, and communication, uploaded by Users on the Platform.

From this point forward, we may choose to use the following terms for the brevity of the article. Please refer to them if you are unsure of what we have meant.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you are advised to stop using the Platform. If you continue to use the website, then we are not responsible for any harm that you feel you may have incurred.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.
  • If you are under the advised age, you may still view the Platform through Parental Advisory.
  • If you are an Employer, you must strictly adhere to UK standards and laws when posting jobs. Failure to comply will result in termination of your account. We will not be held accountable for your lack of compliance

4. Account Registration and Security

  • Users may be required to create an account to access certain features.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and secure.
  • The account will require some key personal information including, but not limited to
    • Your legal name
    • Age
    • Date of Birth
    • A Resume
    • Government Identification (May be optional)
  • If you are an employer, you may need to provide:
    • Your company address
    • Your registration number
    • Your VAT number
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Use of the Platform

5.1 For Job Seekers:

  • You may upload your CV, personal information, and job preferences for employers to view.
  • You agree that your information may be viewed by registered employers on the Platform.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

5.2 For Employers:

  • Employers may post job advertisements that must be truthful, accurate, and in compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Employers are prohibited from posting discriminatory job advertisements or misleading job offers.
  • Employers are solely responsible for the recruitment process and any offers made to Job Seekers.

6. Job Listings and Advertisements

  • We reserve the right to review, modify, or remove any job listings or advertisements that violate these Terms or any applicable laws.
  • Job listings must not contain inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Employers must ensure that all job listings comply with the Equality Act 2010 and other UK employment regulations.

7. Fees and Payment

  • Certain services on the Platform may require payment (e.g., premium job listings).
  • You must contact us for the fees related to these services. We will determine the charge based on your specific needs
  • We reserve the right to change pricing or introduce new charges, and users will be notified of any changes.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

  • Post any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory.
  • Engage in any fraudulent activity or post misleading information.
  • Misuse the Platform by introducing viruses or other malicious software.
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purposes or violate UK employment laws.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Platform, including text, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of Jobs Online or its licensors and is protected by UK intellectual property laws.
  • Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content from the Platform without prior written consent from us.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
  • Employers and Job Seekers agree to comply with all applicable data protection laws, including the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • The Platform is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of job postings or employer information.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jobs Online will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Jobs Online harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Platform.
  • Any breach of these Terms by you.
  • Any violation of UK laws or third-party rights by you.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for any reason, including if you violate these Terms or any applicable laws.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
