Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cambridge
Start Date: September
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
About Us: Reed education are currently working alongside a fantastic primary school in Cambridge, who are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a Year 5 pupil with Autism. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with classwork set out by the school teacher.
- Ensuring the pupil remains on task.
- Providing behavioural support inside and outside the classroom.
- Working in partnership with the SENCO and class teacher to ensure the pupil’s needs are met.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Autism or other special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
