PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTANT – HYBRID ROLE
FIXED TERM CONTRACT – TWELVE MONTHS
MONDAY – FRIDAY (WORKING THREE DAYS A WEEK IN THE OFFICE): 8AM – 5PM
£53,741- £57,572 PER ANNUM
People Solutions are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our client’s finance team, with specific responsibility for capital accounting.
This is initially a fixed-term contract of twelve months.

Day to day duties
- To provide support to and deputise for the finance manager
- To manage the relevant finance team in the absence of the finance manager
- Attend service team and staff team meetings
- To participate in performance review and development
- To document all work-based procedures relating to the post
Essential Skills
- Must be a qualified Accountant for this role
- To be accountable for and promote equality, diversity and community cohesion to meet directorate and service objectives

- To participate in a performance review and development meeting and undertake training, when necessary, to develop skills and expertise in a professional manner
- All employees must be flexible in their approach and undertake other duties that are commensurate with the post they hold
- To represent the organisation in a professional manner meeting the corporate and director aims
- To comply with financial regulations and standing orders
- To lead on all financial accounting aspects for capital, treasury and leasing transactions
- Must undergo a DBS check for this role
- Must have Driving Licence and own vehicle, with motor insurance for business use
- You will need to be able to work to strict and challenging deadlines and be committed to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards in the financial activities
