Are you a geotechnical engineer looking for the next step in your career? This specialist griund investigation consultancy based near Newcastle is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. You’ll be provided with the resources and support to develop new skills, work on a variety of Ground Investigation and contribute to the business development of this innovative team.

Responsibilities of the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role:

• Overseeing site and report work.
• Carrying out retaining wall, foundation design and slope stability design.
• Writing and reviewing factual and interpretive reports.
• Managing projects and contracts.
• Communicating with clients.
• Contributing to bidding and tendering
• Developing and leading a team.

The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected must have:

• Extensive experience working in the geotechnical industry and an understanding of geo-environmental schemes relating to contaminated land.
• A degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering or a similar, relevant subject.
• Hold a valid UK Driving licence.
• Commutable to Newcastle and the surrounding area.
• Have a full right to work in the UK.

The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer will receive:

• A competitive salary (£38,000 – £48,000).
