Practice Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join an Accountancy Practice in Horsham. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a proactive professional with strong accounting expertise and a keen eye for detail.
This firm is part of a larger group with 9 branches in the UK and over 40 years of experience, providing services to small and medium-sized businesses, including detailed bookkeeping, financial accounting, tax planning, compliance, company incorporation, and corporate recovery advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare tax returns and provide tax planning and compliance services
• Support company incorporation and formation processes
• Prepare financial statements and conduct internal audits
• Advise on business restructuring, recovery, and corporate advisory matters
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all company activities
• Maintain up-to-date company records

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping in a UK Practice
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning
• Experience with company formation and incorporation
• Familiarity with corporate recovery and restructuring
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA, ACCA or similar professional qualification preferred but not essential
