Job Title: Learning Support Mentor – Construction Department
Location: Cambridge
Start Date: Late August 2025
Salary: £20,065 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young people and promoting inclusive education?

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join a high-performing Construction department and help shape the futures of learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and in-class support for learners, particularly those with SEND or EHCPs
• Adapt and personalise learning resources to meet individual needs
• Monitor and support students’ academic, emotional and social progress
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support teams to deliver effective learning interventions
• Participate in training and development to enhance your own practice

Person Specification:

• Empathetic, flexible and proactive approach to learner support
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
• Confident supporting a range of learning needs in a classroom environment

Essential Requirements:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
• Availability to start full-time from late August 2025
• Prior experience supporting learners with SEND is desirable but not essential
