Technical Manager – Civil Engineering Infrastructure

Are you a skilled Technical Manager with a background in civil engineering and infrastructure? We’re working with a leading housebuilder to find a driven individual to oversee the technical delivery of infrastructure works across several large-scale residential developments in Kent.
?? The Role:
As Technical Manager, you’ll take ownership of the design and delivery of civil engineering infrastructure—roads, drainage, utilities, and earthworks—supporting major housing schemes. You’ll liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project execution.
??? Key Responsibilities:
- Manage external consultants and technical teams through planning, design, and delivery phases
- Oversee infrastructure design approvals and technical submissions
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure smooth handover from design to construction
- Ensure compliance with NHBC, Building Regulations, and local authority requirements
- Provide technical support to land, planning, and commercial teams
? Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within residential development or civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure design (roads, sewers, utilities)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
