The Company

Nigel Wright are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a new Maintenance Technician into the team.

The business has invested several £millions over the last 2-3 years in capital equipment and has plans to continue with significant investment, along with growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the business as in continues to grow and support the development of its maintenance team.

Salary including shift allowance is circa £48,000 + benefits.

Shift pattern includes a full week off every month.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Technician responsibilities include:

  • Offer emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment
  • Carry out regular planned preventive maintenance tasks
  • Fill in accurately all records and documentation relating to planned or unplanned maintenance of the equipment
  • Support and assist members of the site management team to maximise the efficiency of machines
  • Ensure that all electrical repairs, plus maintenance to all services, machinery and equipment are actioned in a timely manner

The Person

The successful Maintenance Technician will have an ability to utilise communication skills, to build strong relationships with all levels across site.

Utilise experience working on motors, PLCs and plant facilities.

As a proactive individual, you will be able to highlight areas for continuous improvement within the production process.

You will operate a safety-first culture, ensuring that all tasks are completed with Health and Safety as the main priority.
