Class 2 Driver

Pertemps are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to start work on behalf of a world-leading distribution company in Basingstoke. This is a temporary ongoing role, with a permanent contract available upon completion of probation.
Please note weekend work is required.

The role consists of deliver various compliances and goods directly into customers premises with the help of a driver’s mate.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hardworking Driver, who is able to deliver to a pre-determined schedule and provide satisfaction to the customer.

Duties of a Class 2 Driver:
– Delivering homeware to customers’ addresses
– Building good relationships with customers
– Ensuring safety of vehicle with the help of your drivers’ mate
– At times you will also act as a driver’s mate and banksman

Requirements for this Class 2 HGV Role:
– Full UK relevant driving licence (No more than 6 points)
– HGV Class 2 Licence with 2 years’ experience of driving
– CPC card and Digital Tacho Card
– Flexible for shift patterns

More about the role:
– £17.02 per hour
– £25.53 Overtime paid after 48 hours
– Working to a shift pattern including weekends
– A permanent contract will be offered upon completion of probation period
