Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and growing construction company? We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to take full ownership of our bookkeeping function in our Rochester office.
About the Role
As our standalone Bookkeeper, you’ll play a vital role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the wider team with insightful financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the company’s bookkeeping
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
- VAT returns and CIS submissions
- Payroll processing and liaison with external accountants
- Producing monthly management reports
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar standalone bookkeeping role
- Strong understanding of construction industry finances (including CIS)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
