Account Manager | Manchester (Hybrid – 1 day WFH) | Salary: £35,000 – £37,000

We’re recruiting on behalf of an innovative and growing toy business based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Account Manager who thrives on driving growth through strong client relationships, creative product development, and strategic sales planning.

This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. Toy industry experience is strongly preferred.

As Account Manager, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Lead and cross-functional teams to manage and grow key retail accounts, develop new product lines, and identify market opportunities. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be responsible for both maintaining client satisfaction and contributing to commercial growth targets.

Account ManagerKey Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with existing clients

  • Identify and approach potential new clients within retail and consumer sectors

  • Drive sales by developing compelling, tailored product ranges and brand concepts

  • Collaborate with design, buying, and commercial teams to bring ideas to market

  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and pitches

  • Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, and account profitability

  • Stay on top of market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure all internal teams are aligned to client needs

  • Contribute to broader commercial planning and new product development strategies

Account Manager Requirements:

  • Experience in account management within toys, licensing, or consumer goods

  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with a proven track record of growing accounts

  • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing and internal collaboration skills

  • Creative and trend-aware, with an understanding of what makes a product succeed

  • Highly organised with a focus on detail, deadlines, and delivering results

  • Skilled in building presentations and reporting sales performance
