Reed Education is proud to be working exclusively with a well-regarded primary school in the Pontefract area to recruit a qualified, experienced, and passionate Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025.

About the Role:

This is a vital opportunity for a dedicated teacher to lead a Year 6 class through a crucial stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will be expected to make a strong and positive impact on pupils’ learning, development, and confidence, particularly in preparation for their end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments.

The role is offered on a full-time basis for a minimum of two full terms, with the potential for extension.

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have recent and relevant experience teaching in Year 6
• Demonstrate a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation
• Be committed to raising standards and nurturing pupil progress
• Be enthusiastic, resilient, and able to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best
• Be available to start in September 2025
