A long established family owned business with a strong presence and ambitious growth plans are now looking to strengthen its regional finance team by appointing a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join its North East office. The Role

As the Management Accountant you will report to the Head of Finance and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, to support decision-making and business planning. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing weekly sales reports
• Managing daily and weekly cashbook entries and reconciliations
• Posting journals (accruals, prepayments, recodes) and reviewing P&L areas
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and supporting month-end close
• Assisting with business plan modelling and cashflow forecasting
• Assist Head of Finance with annual budget and quarterly reforecast process.
• Processing legal completions and reconciling sales data
• Supporting purchase ledger processes and supplier reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures
• Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

The Person

• AAT Qualified or CIMA certificate level (or working towards)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Proactive and collaborative approach
• Experience of working to deadlines at pace, with changing priorities
