Job Title: Commercial Disputes Paralegal,
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire,
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000,
A highly respected and long-established law firm based in Doncaster is currently seeking to appoint a Paralegal to join its growing Civil and Commercial Litigation department. Known for delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining a strong presence in the South Yorkshire region, the firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment for ambitious legal professionals looking to develop their careers.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with prior paralegal experience-ideally within a litigation setting-who is keen to build on their expertise and work alongside a team of experienced and knowledgeable solicitors. You will be exposed to a wide range of dispute resolution matters, contributing to a busy and varied caseload involving contractual disputes, debt recovery, property litigation, and general civil litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day support to fee earners on a range of active civil and commercial litigation files
- Drafting and preparing a variety of legal documents including court applications, correspondence, and trial bundles
- Conducting legal research and preparing notes or reports to assist solicitors with case strategy and development
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and other external parties in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with case file management, ensuring records are kept up-to-date and documentation is properly filed and organised
- Supporting the preparation of cases for hearings and trials
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a paralegal, ideally within a litigation or dispute resolution team
- A law degree or equivalent legal qualification (LPC or SQE preparation would be advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities, including client handling and correspondence
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently when required
