A leading national law firm are currently looking for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to lead our dynamic Care Proceedings team. You’ll manage a team of lawyers handling complex public law children matters (care orders, EPOs, SGOs, adoption), while overseeing performance, compliance, and team development.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of Childcare Solicitors and legal staff
- Oversee technical quality and supervise casework
- Manage KPIs, capacity, performance reviews, and training
- Maintain compliance with LEXCEL and legal aid requirements
- Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities, CAFCASS, and the courts
- Support business development and uphold the firm’s values
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Solicitor with 3-5+ years’ PQE in Childcare Law
- Membership of the Law Society Children Panel (or working toward it)
- Experience supervising legal teams
- Strong advocacy, case management, and public law expertise
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
