Job Opportunity – Van Technician
Location: Newton Abbot area
Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Butler Rose is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-respected business in the Newton Abbot area. Our client is seeking a capable and hands-on Van Conversion Technician to join their growing vehicle conversion team.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, the Van Conversion Technician will play a crucial role in the transformation of both new and used vehicles for specialist applications. Supporting a broad customer base.
This role offers variety and technical challenge, with day-to-day responsibilities that include:
- Carrying out bespoke vehicle conversions
- Stripping and refitting vehicle interiors
- Performing light mechanical and electrical installations
- Undertaking general modifications to OEM vehicle builds
- Working to precise vehicle build specifications
Candidate Requirements
We’re seeking applicants with a hands-on approach and a technical mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Practical experience with hand and power tools (e.g. grinders, drills, cutting tools, jigsaws, air tools)
- The ability to read and interpret technical plans, diagrams, and instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- A commitment to working safely in an industrial workshop environment
