We’re excited to be recruiting an Interim Senior People Partner for the North East Combined Authority (NECA) on a 6 month contract.
The North East Combined Authority was formed on 7 May 2024. They’re led by an Elected Mayor and Cabinet and cover the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
Reporting to the fantastic Head of People and Culture, this role as Senior People Partner will lead on Operational and Strategic HR issues through the development and delivery of HR strategies, plans, policies and practice.
This is an exciting time to join NECA, the Senior People Partner will lead in the development, implementation and review of corporate HRM, organisational development and other related policies whilst contributing to major areas of HR work; including reward strategies, equality and diversity, discipline & grievance, absence management, employment policy, change management and managing relationships.
A key part of this role will be to work collaboratively with all parts of the organisation to support change management and the development and improvement of the organisation, undertaking specific projects and supporting the strategic approach of enabling delivery.
This role will suit candidates who are experienced to at least Strategic BP level and who can bring experience within change management programmes and be solutions focussed.
This role offers a salary of up to £57k per annum an offers a hybrid pattern of working, you will be spending 3 days per week onsite (head office is Newcastle based but you will also travel to the seven local authority areas in the region on occasion).
