Are you nurturing, patient, and ready to support a young child in their first steps at school?

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming primary school in Coventry (CV6) to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged child from September.

The Role:

You’ll be supporting a child in their own classroom, following a personalised curriculum designed to meet their individual needs. The child is developing their communication and currently uses single words and simple phrases.

Building a positive and trusting relationship will be key to helping them engage and thrive in their learning.

Main Duties:

  • Supporting the child 1:1 with daily learning and routines
  • Encouraging communication using clear language, visuals, and modelling
  • Helping with table-top tasks and play-based learning activities
  • Creating a calm, predictable, and supportive environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

We’d Love to Hear from You If You:

  • Have experience supporting children in EYFS or with additional needs
  • Are patient, reliable, and able to form strong bonds with young children
  • Understand how to support learning through both structure and play
  • Are confident using simple strategies to encourage communication and routine
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification or early years/SEN training

What the School Offers:

  • A nurturing early years setting with dedicated SEN support
  • A warm and inclusive school community
  • Clear guidance and collaboration with teaching and SEN staff
  • Well-resourced learning spaces

Why Work with Long Term Futures?

  • Long-term roles with real potential to become permanent
  • Supportive consultants and local placements
  • Free CPD including SEN and behaviour training
  • Simple digital timesheets and 24/7 support
