? Join Our Team as a Community Support Worker – Make a Real Difference in Stockport! ?

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with mental health challenges to lead fulfilling and independent lives? Do you believe in the power of person-centred care, inclusion, and recovery? If so, we want to hear from you.

Stockport’s Community Mental Health Team is looking for a compassionate and motivated Community Support Worker to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in providing emotional and practical support to people in the local community, helping them to maintain their independence and improve their wellbeing.

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work one-to-one with individuals from a variety of backgrounds in their own homes and in the community.
  • Support people with a wide range of mental health needs, empowering them to regain and maintain their roles in society.
  • Deliver flexible, person-centred support based on individual care plans.
  • Be a trusted advocate, supporting people in making their voices heard.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to effective team working.
  • Manage your own caseload and work autonomously with the support of your manager and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has experience with mental health services – whether as a worker, volunteer, service user or carer.
  • Is empathetic, calm under pressure, and confident in responding to challenging situations.
  • Can work independently, flexibly, and has great communication skills.
  • Is committed to promoting inclusion, equality, and the recovery of individuals.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a suitable vehicle.

Why Join Us?

  • You’ll be part of a supportive, values-driven team.
  • You’ll be helping people grow beyond the limitations of their experiences.
  • You’ll have access to ongoing professional development and regular supervision.
  • Most importantly, you’ll be making a meaningful impact on people’s lives, every day.

This is a role where no two days are the same – and every day matters.
