Property Accountant

Our client, who specialise within the property industry, our have fantastic opportunity for a Accountant to join a dynamic and collaborative team.
This role is seeking a newly qualified or experienced Accountant with solid property/real estate experience who is ready to take a proactive approach to accounting, delivering meaningful financial reports and understanding client businesses deeply.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Preparation of management accounts and posting journals into the General Ledger (GL).
- Calculation of accruals, lease incentives, and prepayments.
- Posting managing agent rent and service charge statements.
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis of P&L accounts.
- Preparation of UK VAT returns reconciled to the general ledger.
- Preparation and submission of CIS returns where required.
- Reviewing payment run processing when necessary.
- Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and the year-end audit process.
- Assisting with the preparation of loan compliance calculations and certificates.
- Handling ad hoc client information requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, newly qualified or with relevant experience.
- Experience reporting under FRS102 and IFRS.
- Proficient in using accounting software systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF formula).
- Strong accounting skills, with essential experience in VAT and an advantage in CIS.
- Experience in real estate & property accounting (fund accounting not client accounting).
- Diligent, detail-oriented, and precise.
- Effective communication skills with clients and other business stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Takes ownership of work, has a can-do attitude, and takes pride in delivery.
- Knowledge of Yardi or Sage would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in the Real Estate sector would be advantageous.
