Job Description
We are recruiting for skilled Forklift Truck Operators to join our logistics client based in Washington, Sunderland.
Duties:
- Operate counterbalance Forklift Truck adhering to strict health and safety
- Load and unload materials from lorries and storage area
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials throughout the warehouse
- Accurately record inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling as required
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment
Skills:
- Experienced counterbalance Forklift Truck operator
- Experienced working in a logistics and warehouse setting
- Experienced using hand-held scanners
- Experienced working within a strict health and safety environment
- Basic maths skills for inventory management
- Automotive logistics experience would be advantageous
Shifts:
Weekly rotation, days and lates.
Days: 07:00am – 15:18pm
Lates 16:20pm – 00:38am
Overtime schedule:
1 hour per day Monday – Thursday
5-8 hours on a Saturday when on day shift rotation
Pay:
Dayshift: £12.53 per hour
Lateshift: £14.40 per hour
Overtime: Time and a half / Double Time.
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
